As we embark on the year 2024, my colleagues and I celebrate the 25th anniversary of Maersk Container Industry Qingdao Ltd. (MCIQ). This significant milestone was marked by a splendid celebration on 13th January, attended by nearly 1,800 individuals comprising MCIQ colleagues, government leaders and external partners. This event not only commemorated our past achievements but also set the stage for future endeavors, highlighting our commitment to environmental protection, talent development, and the spirit of innovation.
In 2023, we reached 30% market share with our Star Cool units, a testament to the trust of our esteemed customers worldwide. This achievement is an endorsement by the market to our commitment to excellence and innovation in the reefer industry. As we approach the delivery of our half-millionth Star Cool unit, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our customers. Your unwavering support has been pivotal in reaching this milestone, and it fuels our drive to continue delivering unparalleled quality and service.
At MCI, we strive to be an active contributor of information to the industry and society, aiming to benefit all stakeholders. With this goal in mind, we have published an in-depth paper that provides everyone a better understanding about the complexities the industry faces when it comes to F-Gas and PFAS. This paper is issued based on our thorough research and market insights, to the best of our knowledge.
